Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan receives Chinese Consul General in Da Nang city
On the afternoon of December 28, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan met with Ms. Dong Bi You, Consul General of China in Da Nang city. Attending the meeting were representatives of the Departments of Foreign Affairs, Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Tourism and Binh Dinh Economic Zone Administration.
At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan expressed his pleasure to welcome Ms. Dong Bi You and her delegation to Binh Dinh province.
Chairman Pham Anh Tuan gave an overview of natural conditions, cultural and historical traditions, socio-economic situation as well as potential, strengths and areas the province is calling for investment in the coming time.
In addition, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan suggested some areas in which Binh Dinh province and China could cooperate in the coming time such as tourism, export of local agricultural products (watermelon, Da Xanh pomelo, crop products, ... ).
Up to present, Binh Dinh province has attracted 17 FDI projects from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan with a total registered investment of 183.66 million USD, including 05 projects by Chinese investors with a total registered investment of 80.25 million USD, 10 projects by Hong Kong investors with a total registered investment of 91.19 million USD and 02 projects by Taiwanese investors with a total registered investment of 12.21 million USD mainly in such fields as animal feed production, garment, agricultural product processing, wood, etc.
In the coming time, Chairman Pham Anh Tuan hoped that the Consul General would spend more time visiting the province to discuss more specifically about the cooperation between the two sides. At the same time, the Consul General would continue to pay attention to and support Binh Dinh province to connect and introduce information about the province; promote and invite capable Chinese investors and enterprises to cooperate, invest and do business in the province.
Ms. Dong Bi You, Consul General of China in Da Nang city thanked for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the potential and strengths of Binh Dinh province. She said that, with a favorable geographical location, synchronous transport infrastructure, industrial zones and clusters being invested, upgraded and completed, many historical and cultural relics, many famous landscapes and so on, Binh Dinh province has many conditions for socio-economic development, especially in tourism.
Taking the occasion, the Consul General thanked the leaders of Binh Dinh People's Committee and sectors for supporting and creating favorable conditions for Chinese enterprises to operate production and do business in the province; at the same time, sent her congratulations on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday and the 73rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China (18/01/1950 - 18/01/2023).
In the coming time, the Consul General wished to continue receiving information on areas Binh Dinh province needs to promote cooperation with China; as well as committed to strengthening the friendly cooperation between the Consulate General of China in Da Nang and Binh Dinh province, promoting the role of a bridge to develop cooperation between Binh Dinh province and localities and partners of China./.
