Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City pays an official visit to Binh Dinh province

From the 24th to the 25th of November, Ms. Sarah Hooper - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City paid an official visit to Binh Dinh province.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council received Ms. Sarah Hooper - Consul General of Australia in Ho Chi Minh City at the Headquarters of the Provincial Party Committee on November 25th. Also attending the reception were leaders of relevant departments and sectors including the Department of Planning and Investment, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Economic Zone Administration and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

At the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung introduced to Ms. Sarah Hooper the natural conditions, culture, people and outstanding potentials, advantages and achievements in the socio-economic development of the province over the past time.

         
The Provincial Party Secretary said that up to now, the province has 6 investment projects, with a total capital of 23.24 million USD. In general, Australian investors' projects are currently operating effectively, contributing to creating jobs, raising incomes for local people, improving export turnover and contributing to the provincial budget. In particular, Australian businesses are always the pioneers in applying high technology in production and business, bringing positive results to businesses, creating motivation for other businesses.


Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung wishes that, in the coming time, as Consul General, Ms. Sarah Hooper will be interested in introducing and connecting Australian businesses to Binh Dinh to promote investment, especially in the areas that the province prioritizes.

Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City Sarah Hooper thanked the provincial leaders for their time in welcoming her. Although it is the first time to visit the province, she is very impressed with the cultural traditions, people of Binh Dinh and the potentials, advantages and outstanding development of the province over the years. She pledged to become a bridge to introduce Australian businesses to explore the investment environment in Binh Dinh province in the coming time.

On the same day, at the Headquarters of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan received Ms. Sarah Hooper on the occasion of her visit to the province.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan introduced the potential, strengths and socio-economic development situation of the locality in recent years, development orientation in the coming time.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan appreciated and thanked the Australian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, for many years, for interested in connecting and promoting cooperation between Binh Dinh province and Australian localities and partners. At the same time, we hope that the Consul General will be interested in introducing and connecting Australian businesses to Binh Dinh province; strengthen provincial support in trade promotion activities; introduce, promote and expand the consumption market of products to enhance the introduction of products with strengths of Binh Dinh province such as seafood, garments, wood products into the Australian market.

The Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City highly values the potential of Binh Dinh province and believes that in the coming time, the cooperation between Australia and Binh Dinh province will be expanded and further developed.

Within the framework of the visit, Ms. Sarah Hooper - Australian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City also worked with Viet Uc Co., Ltd. and TMA Solutions.
