Consul General of India, HCM City pays a courtesy call on Vice Chairman of PPC

On the morning of December 18th, 2020, Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee received a courtesy call paid by H.E Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. The reception was attended by the leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Investment and Planning, Department of Industry and Trade, Department of Education and Training and Binh Dinh Economic Zone Administration.

At the meeting, Mr. Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of PPC introduced H.E Consul General of India to the remarkable achievements of Binh Dinh in the socio-economic development in the past time. Noticeably, in the context of the impact caused by Covid-19 pandemic on the global economy, Binh Dinh is still one of few provinces in Central Vietnam with the positive growth. With the potential and strengths, Binh Dinh is focusing on attracting investment in different sectors, especially in IT and renewable energy. The province always pays attention to investment, attraction and creation of the clear and competitive environment for the investors, especially the foreign ones. On the occasion, Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee hoped that Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City would pay more attention to connection and introduction of the Indian enterprises to Binh Dinh province for investment opportunities.

Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi – Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City thanked the province for the warm welcome and congratulated Binh Dinh province on its socio-economic achievements in recent years, especially in 2020 with many fluctuations. He expected to keep strengthening the cooperation relation between Binh Dinh province and India in the coming time, especially in heath and education development.

After the reception, H.E Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi had a talk with some associations of the province having trade activities with the Indian market to learn about their expectations as well as difficulties in trade cooperation between the two sides. He promised to find out how to solve the difficulties, to facilitate and to further promote the trade relationship between India and Vietnam in general and Binh Dinh province in particular.
