On the afternoon of 17th January 2025, Mr Nguyen Thai Binh, Director of Foreign Affairs Department, Vice Head of Provincial Committee for Foreign Non-Governmental (FNG) Organization Affairs chaired the meeting to evaluate the FNG affairs in Binh Dinh province in 2024. The meeting was attended by the members of the Provincial Committee for FNG Organization Affairs; the representatives of relevant departments, agencies, associations, unions, the People’s Committee of districts, city and the FNG project owners in the province.

At the meeting, the representative of Foreign Affairs Department presented a report on the promotion and implementation of FNG aid projects and non-project activities in 2024. According to the report, as of 15th December 2024, there have been 27 ongoing programs, projects and non-project activities in the province, with a total disbursed amount of USD 2,252,027. Out of 27 projects and non-projects, 22 projects and non-projects are funded by FNG Organizations and 05 projects, non-projects funded by the international organizations and individuals. The aids were mainly in the fields of Health (06 items, valued USD 1,316,358); Education and Training (11 items, valued USD 406,147); Agriculture and Rural Development (01 item, valued USD 11,365); Natural Resources and Environment (01 item, valued USD 41,250); Social Affairs Solutions (07 items, valued USD 429,060); Socio-economic Development (01 item, valued USD 47,847). In general, FNG Organizations and project, non-project owners had made many efforts to complete the activities plans pursuant to the approved project and non-project documents; to disburse on schedule, to meet the requirements and objectives; to avoid loss, waste and promptly promote the aids’ effectiveness. Although the scale of FNG aid projects and non-projects was relatively small, they were necessary and suitable for the people’s needs, especially the poor households and people with disabilities; the coordination mechanism between the donors and the provincial partners was quite close and had positive changes; some agencies assigned to be project, non-project owners actively worked, agreed on the documents and submitted them to the competent authorities for assessment and approval so as to bring the aids to beneficiaries; getting the appreciation from the donors in the process of implementing the projects, non-projects in the province.
The meeting also focused on discussion, especially with the speech of 05 agencies and localities (Provincial Association for Education Promotion, People's Committee of Hoai An District, Medical Center of Phu Cat District, Provincial Climate Change Coordination Office and Quy Nhon Hope Specialized School) on the experiences of receiving and implementing FNG aid projects as well as recommending many solutions to continue promoting the mobilization and implementation of FNG aid projects, non-projects in the province in the coming time.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh, Director of Foreign Affairs Department, Vice Head of Provincial Committee for FNG Organization Affairs highly appreciated the efforts of relevant agencies, localities in mobilizing and implementing FNG aid projects, non-projects for the past time; responded to the recommendations from 05 above agencies. Mr. Nguyen Thai Binh also requested that agencies and localities continue to coordinate with Foreign Affairs Department in propaganda, providing information and fully introducing new project proposals to the foreign organizations and individuals for support; facilitate the donors to effectively implement the projects, non-projects in the province; regularly maintain the report on FNG aid projects, non-projects implementation to Foreign Affairs Department, contributing to bringing the positive results to the FNG Organization affairs in the province in the coming time.
