Binh Dinh is preparing to organize a conference on investment promotion, trade and tourism development with Indian partners

In order to implement the Plan to promote cooperation with the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, after discussing and agreeing with the Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, based on the proposals of the Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Binh Dinh province, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 105/KH-UBND on May 27th, 2024 to organize a conference on investment promotion, trade and tourism development with Indian partners on June 25th and 26th 2024.

According to the above-mentioned Plan, the Conference will begin at 3:00 P.M. on June 25th, 2024, at the Provincial Convention Center, with nearly 250 delegates, including about 100 delegates from major Indian Chambers of Commerce, Associations and Businesses invited by the Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City as follows: Millennial India International Chamber of Commerce Industry & Agriculture (MIICCIA), Orissa Small Scale Industries Association, Balasore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indian Importers Chambers of Commerce and Industries (IICCI), Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil), Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO), Bharat Chamber Of Commerce, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) – Telangana, Association of Buddhist Tour Operators (ABTO), IMC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, IGTD EXIM Chamber of Commerce, Global Trade and Technology Council of India (GTTC India), The Specialist Travel Association (AITO), The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM)… and the remaining are representatives of leaders of central ministries, provincial leaders, departments, localities and typical businesses of Binh Dinh province. Many important issues will be presented at this Conference such as the opening speech of the Secretary of the Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee, opinions of Ministries and the Indian Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, introducing potential and advantages, achieved results and orientation to attract investment, socio-economic development of Binh Dinh province, speech given by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Q&A section; Also at the Conference, a friendly cooperation agreement (under the Law on International Cooperation Agreement) between the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City and commitment investment agreements of Indian businesses and investors in Binh Dinh province will be signed.

Before attending the Conference, delegates will visit booths introducing products and goods of Binh Dinh and Indian businesses in the lobby of the Provincial Convention Center. In addition, Department of Foreign Affairs and provincial relevant agencies will take Indian delegates survey Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Quy Nhon Port and some famous tourist destinations in Quy Nhon city.

The conference on investment promotion, trade and tourism development with Indian partners organized by Indian Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee is one of the important foreign affairs events of Binh Dinh province in 2024. It is a very meaningful beginning product in the series of cooperation with Indian partners that the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province is interested in directing relevant agencies to organize and implement to contribute to promoting attracting investment and socio-economic development of the province.
