Teachers and students from Izumisano city, Japan participate in friendly exchange activities in Binh Dinh province
In order to implement the local cooperation program, Binh Dinh Department of Foreign Affairs has coordinated with relevant agencies to develop a plan to welcome a delegation of teachers and students from Izumisano city to participate in friendly exchange activities in the province from July 31, 2024 to August 2, 2024.
In 2019, Binh Dinh People's Committee and Izumisano City Government signed a MOU to establish comprehensive cooperation for mutual understanding, friendship and common prosperity. Both sides make efforts to develop exchanges and cooperation in the fields of administration, culture, tourism, training, economics and other fields based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, in accordance with the laws of Vietnam and Japan. The two sides strengthen and deepen mutual understanding for friendship and prosperity... Accordingly, direct exchanges, visits and online meetings have been implemented and maintained once a year during the COVID-19 pandemic such as 2 art exchanges for children through a children's drawing contest (children from both sides drew pictures of their cities and introduced them to each other). When the Covid-19 epidemic situation was under control, Izumisano city sent a staff to Binh Dinh province to coordinate the implementation of the friendship exchange program between the two sides. The two sides have coordinated to organize such exchange activities as city women's volleyball exchange delegation in the province at the end of March 2023; a delegation of teachers, students and sports athletes from Izumisano city on the occasion of the International Festival of Traditional Martial Arts from July 31, 2023 to August 4, 2023; dance troupe of Izumisano city (Japan) exchange performances on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024 in Binh Dinh.

In order to deploy more deeply and practically in the fields of culture, tourism, education, economics and enhance exchange and cooperation, the Mayor of Izumisano city has asked Binh Dinh province to coordinate and build up Vietnam Friendship Exchange Program in the province from July 31, 2024 to August 2, 2024 for the student and teacher delegation of Izumisano city. According to the program, the delegation visited Evertrust Company, Thien Hung Zen Monastery in Cat Tien commune, Phu Cat district on August 1, 2024; they had exchange activities with students of Le Quy Don High School for Gifted Students at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Science and Education and visited ExploraScience on August 2, 2024.
Through those activities, the students and teachers of Izumisano city have had good impressions of the natural beauty, historical relics, cuisine and friendly and hospitable feelings of Binh Dinh people; all of their experiences were new and interesting, so they all wished to have the opportunity to return to Binh Dinh.
