Laotian students celebrated the 44th Anniversary of Independence Day.

On the afternoon of 02nd December 2019, at Quy Nhon University, Laotian students studying in Binh Dinh celebrated the 44th Anniversary of Independence Day. The ceremony was attended by the provincial agencies, departments and the representatives of Quy Nhon University including Associate Professor Nguyen Dinh Hien - Deputy Headmaster, teachers, staff of faculties, Laotian and Vietnamese students.

44 years ago, Vietnam - Laos were shoulder to shoulder in the fight for independence. At present, Vietnam - Laos are cooperating in the fields of politics, economy, defence, security,…and especially in education and training. For the past years, the training institutes in the province such as Quy Nhon University, Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology have facilitated the Laotian students to study, exchange cultures, do research in science and techology. From these institutes, thousands of Laotian students have graduated, come back to their country and developed their careers.

At the ceremony, Associate Professor Nguyen Dinh Hien - Deputy Headmaster confirmed, “The human resources training is one of the extremely important requirements in the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos”. With this spirit, Quy Nhon University is training over 100 Laotian students in various branches. He hoped that in the coming time, Laotian students continued to try their best in study so as to apply their knowledge gained for building and developing their beautiful country, which contributes to the tightening of the special relationship between Vietnam and Laos.

On behalf of the Laotian students studying at the university, Mr. Binly Chanthavong expressed thanks to the leaders of Binh Dinh province, agencies, departments, Quy Nhon University Managing Board and teachers. He also promised to make efforts in study and after coming back to Laos, they would make contributions to the construction and development of the country and the nurture of Vietnam-Laos special friendly relationship./.
