Construction of Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Township and Industrial Park
On the morning of September 27th, 2020, in Van Canh District, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Township and Industrial Park was organized by Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee and Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company. Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and Trade, leaders of some ministries, Binh Dinh and Binh Duong provinces and Van Canh district attended the event.
Addressing at the ceremony, to realize the industrialization and modernization goals, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister said that Vietnam had been implementing three strategic breakthroughs, focusing on economic restructuring, growth model transformation to enhance the scale, quality and competitiveness of the economy. Construction of VND 3,300 billion Industrial Park on an area of more than 1,000 hectares and opening a road that links Nhon Hoi Economic Zone with Phu Cat airport are the achievements of Binh Dinh province and the investors in fulfilling the dual goals of preventing the COVID-19 pandemic and developing the economy. Together with the whole country in putting efforts into getting achievements to welcome the National Party Congress, he expressed his belief that Binh Dinh would have breakthroughs in economic development in the time to come.
For the project to be successfully implemented, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh requested that Binh Dinh Province and the local people should coordinate with the investors in constructing the project in compliance with the law, schedule, quality, safety, efficiency, environmental protection and social security at the locality. It is needed to attract big investors and projects with high added values and advanced technological contents, economic efficiency, notable contributions to the budget, making contributions to the socio-economic development not only of Binh Dinh but also of the Central region and the whole country, he added.
Binh Dinh is one of the active developing provinces in the central key economic region. In recent years, by promoting the advantages, Binh Dinh always maintains a good growth rate. The economic growth rate in the 2016 - 2020 period increases by 6.4%, a high growth rate in the Central region.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, the project investor signed the Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with some potential investors. These MoUs are the expanded investment of domestic and foreign customers who have successfully invested in the industrial zones of Becamex IDC and VSIP in Vietnam.
Located in Canh Vinh Commune, Van Canh District, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Township and Industrial Park covers a total of 1,425 hectares, in the 7th subdivision of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, in which 1,000 hectares is for industrial zone jointly developed by Becamex IDC and VSIP, 425 hectares for the resident, trade, service and resettlement purposes.
On the same day, Mr. Truong Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister also attended the opening ceremony of the road linking Nhon Hoi Economic Zone with Phu Cat Airport. This 20km long and 20,5m wide road will accelerate the development of Binh Dinh province. This asphalt concrete road with four lanes and a maximum speed of 80km per hour was built at a total cost of VND 1,820 billion.
