Laotian students awarded degrees by Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology

On the afternoon of April 27th, 2021, Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology organized the graduation ceremony for the Laotian students of the course 13. The ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Provincial Public Security, Union of Friendship Organizations and Provincial Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association. Ms. Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Rector and Mr. Pham Van Tuong , Vice Rector of the college attended the event and awarded the degrees to the students.

Implementing the Memoranda of Understanding between Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee and the Southern provinces of Laos, in the academic year 2020-2021, Quy Nhon College of Engineering and Technology provided training for 23 Laotian students from the intermediate professional education to the vocational college education in 02 majors of industrial electricity and automotive technology. The result is that all the students have graduated from the college in which 17 students achieved good results and the other six (did) very good results. At the ceremony, the college also praised and awarded the certificates of merit to 06 students who had achieved very good results.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vo Thi Tuyet Nhung, Vice Rector of the college said, “Over the last years, the college has been trying its best to become a comprehensive high quality training college and to educate the students with good ethics and good professional skills. Especially, it is very interested in training the Laotian students and creates the best conditions for them during the time they are studying at the college. Although the students of this course faced many difficulties, especially due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, most of them have tried and got good results”. On the occasion, she wished them good health, happiness and achievement as they wish in the coming time; she also hoped that they would make best use of the knowledge learned at college in order to be efficient and successful in their work.

From 2015 up to now, over 100 Laotian students of the same curriculum have been trained at the college. They have studied at the college on the full scholarships of Binh Dinh province.
