At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the embassies, foreign news agencies for paying the working visit to Binh Dinh province and gave an overview of the natural, socio-economic features, investment opportunities, potential and strengths of the province.
Binh Dinh is a province in the South Central Coast of Vietnam, located at a strategic location in Southeast Asia and is the nearest gateway to the East Sea of the Mekong sub-region (Laos, Cambodia and Thailand) through Quy Nhon international port. It has convenient transport infrastructure and is located at the center of the North - South axis on all four routes of road, railway, sea and air.
He also shared the development orientation of the province in the future, striving to build Binh Dinh province into a developed province in the leading group of the Central region with 5 pillars of growth and 3 breakthroughs including: (i) make strong improvement in the investment environment, enhance local competitiveness to attract domestic and foreign investors to Binh Dinh; (ii) train and improve the quality of human resources in accordance with the development orientation of the province, especially human resources for information technology, engineering, tourism, high-tech industries; implement policies to attract high quality workers to meet the needs of the economy; (iii) continue to build a system of synchronous and modern economic and social infrastructure, especially the transport infrastructure for the Northern region of the province in order to stimulate growth in the North of the province.
On behalf of the delegation, Ms Pham Thu Hang, Deputy Director of the Press and Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed her thanks to the leaders of Binh Dinh province for the useful and valuable information and believed that with such determination, Binh Dinh would achieve more development in the future.
This field trip is jointly organized by the Press and Information Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Authority of Foreign Information Service, Ministry of Information and Communications to promote external information, introduce the culture, image and people of Vietnam and the opportunities for trade and investment cooperation and tourism potential of the localities./.
