Online seminar on US investment opportunities in Binh Dinh
On the morning of May 13th, 2021, the Provincial People's Committee organized an online seminar on the United States investment opportunities in Binh Dinh province with the theme "Vietnam - a developing market and a strategic location for the manufacturing industries" chaired by Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. The seminar was attended by the representatives of Becamex IDC Corporation, Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, Becamex IDC in North America and the leaders of the relevant departments and agencies of the province. In the United States, it was attended by Mr. Denny Heck, Lieutenant Governor of Washington state; Mr. Mike Fowler, Senior Trade Consultant and Managing Director at World Trade Center Tacoma; Mr. Milton Hagler, General Director of Fluid Power & Controls Co., Ltd and about 100 US investors.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said, “the province has a lot of potential and advantages for the US investors to invest in the province; it always tries to attract investment by applying many open policies, focusing on synchronous development of technical infrastructure system, especially the traffic infrastructure, infrastructure of industrial parks and clusters, social infrastructure, etc. Therefore, the fact that Becamex IDC Corporation - the leading brand in the field of investment and development of urban infrastructure and industrial zones in Vietnam is present in Binh Dinh province is the clear evidence”. He also affirmed that Binh Dinh province would create the most favourable conditions for the enterprises, investors to successfully implement their projects and sustainably develop in the province.
Representing Becamex IDC in North America, Mr. Bill Dao gave a presentation on the investment incentives and environment of Vietnam, the strengths of Binh Dinh province and Becamex IDC and emphasized the important and necessary steps that the US investors need to follow to carry out a project in Vietnam in general and in Binh Dinh province in particular.
Mr. Milton Hagler, General Director of Fluid Power & Controls Co., Ltd, a corporation of the United States in Vietnam specializing in producing solenoids and hydraulic and pneumatic systems in Binh Duong province, shared his experience in establishment, operation and management of a U.S company in Vietnam.
At the event, many US investors expressed their interest in the investment environment and incentive policies of Vietnam in general, Binh Dinh province and Becamex IDC in particular; the regulations on investment, construction, land; trading of goods for export; investment orientation and readiness of the province in terms of infrastructure and human resources for attraction of high-tech investment.
