Provincial leaders receive the US Ambassador to Viet Nam
On the afternoon of March 15, 2024, at the Provincial People's Committee Headquarters, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan paid a courtesy call on US Ambassador to Viet Nam Marc E. Knapper. Also attending the meeting were leaders of departments, agencies and associations.

Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung welcomed US Ambassador to Viet Nam Marc Knapper when he first visited Binh Dinh province. The Secretary emphasized the special meaning when Viet Nam and the United States upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership for peace, cooperation and sustainable development.
Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung hoped that in the coming time, Ambassador MarcKnapper would support the province in calling for US businesses to come and explore investment in the province; connecting US organizations with projects that the province needs such as supporting people with disabilities, natural disaster prevention and control; promoting the image of Binh Dinh province in the United States to attract more American tourists to Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh and so on. Mr. Ho Quoc Dung informed Ambassador Marc Knapper about the potential, advantages, and rich tradition of culture and history of Binh Dinh. The province's development orientation is to always preserve a clean and healthy environment. In particular, the province is very interested in science and technology, so it built the first Quy Hoa Science Urban Area in Viet Nam and is coordinating with businesses to build an artificial intelligence center...
Next, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan further informed the Ambassador about the main provincial pillars of growth; in particular, industry focuses on developing green and smart industrial parks. Specifically, in recent times, the province has promoted investment in new industrial zones and clusters, prepared clean land funds, had preferential policy mechanisms and directed relevant units and localities to set up working groups to support and creat the best conditions for investors.
He also expected the Ambassador to support connecting US businesses belonging to the American Chamber of Commerce in Viet Nam (AMCHAM) to Binh Dinh to explore investment and business cooperation opportunities in the province; to pay attention and support the province's key export products such as wooden products, seafood and so on to continue to be exported stably through the main market of the United States; to support the province in establishing friendly cooperative relationships at the local level with two cities of Tacoma and Savannah.
Ambassador Marc Knapper thanked Binh Dinh province for the warm welcome. Through this visit, the Ambassador acknowledged that Binh Dinh province had beautiful natural landscapes, many potential and advantages for strong development. He highly appreciated the province's interest in developing science and technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy... He also learned more about the development directions of the province in general and in some specific areas in particular.
Ambassador Marc Knapper acknowledged and appreciated the information and opinions exchanged by leaders of Binh Dinh province. The Ambassador said that in the coming time, he would make efforts to connect and support areas that Binh Dinh needs, including investment attraction, tourism development, and friendly cooperation with two US localities... along with projects to support the province's socio-economic development.
