Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang receives Mayor of Ichinoseki city (Iwate prefecture, Japan)
On the afternoon of January 19, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang chaired a meeting with Mr. Yoshihito Sato - Mayor of Ichinoseki city (Iwate prefecture, Japan). Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and agencies of the province.

At the meeting, Mr. Yoshihito Sato expressed his great pleasure when he first came to Binh Dinh province. He said Ichinoseki city wishes to cooperate with local government agencies in Viet Nam. In Northern Viet Nam, the city is promoting cooperation with Hoa Binh city, Hoa Binh province; and in Central Viet Nam, the city wishes to have relationship with Binh Dinh localities in the fields of economics, agriculture, tourism, culture, education, human resource development and exchange. Currently, the city is considering establishing a headquarters to support foreign citizens, including Vietnamese people living and working in the city.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang introduced an overview of the province's advantages and socio-economic development orientation to 2030. The Vice Chairman emphasized that Binh Dinh identifies Japan as an important partner in investment cooperation. To date, the province has attracted 19 Japanese investment projects in Binh Dinh, in the fields of afforestation, garments, wood processing, fisheries, renewable energy... with registered capital of more than 96 million USD. These investment projects are operating effectively, contributing to creating jobs and increasing income for local people. Japan is also a familiar goods trading market for export and import businesses in Binh Dinh province. Besides, there are currently 746 employees of the province working in Japan.
In 2023, from May 31 to June 3, the province's working delegation led by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan came to Japan and had working sessions with many Japanese localities to develop cooperation combined with investment promotion.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang hoped that Mr. Yoshihito Sato would pay attention and actively promote the establishment of friendship between Ichinoseki city and Binh Dinh localities.
On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee invited Mr. Yoshihito Sato and members of the delegation to attend the UIM F1H2O and UIM-ABP AQUABIKE Binh Dinh Grand Prix 2024 and an international investment promotion conference organized by Binh Dinh province at the end of March 2024.
