Ceremony of granting Vallet scholarships to excellent pupils, students in Binh Dinh, Phu Yen provinces.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Professor Tran Thanh Van (Chairman of Rencontres du Vietnam) and Professor Odon Vallet could not come to Vietnam to grant the scholarships in person to the pupils, students as they had done and Rencontres du Vietnam authorized the Vallet Scholarships Representative Board to grant the scholarships to the excellent pupils, students of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces. 45 scholarships were granted to the pupils of Binh Dinh province; 20 scholarships to the pupils of Phu Yen province; 17 scholarships to the students of Quy Nhon University; 5 scholarships to the doctoral lecturers of Quy Nhon University; 2 scholarships to the astrophysics and particle physics sudents. The value of each scholarship is VND 11,500,000 for pupils, VND 20,000,000 for students, VND 32,000,000 for doctoral lecturers, VND 5,000,000 for astrophysics and particle physics students. The total value of the scholarships granted in 2021 is over VND 1,2 billion.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long - Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee expressed his thanks to Professor Tran Thanh Van and Professor Odon Vallet for their assistance to the province’s education in the past years. He hoped that the scholarships would be a very important foundation for the pupils, students of Binh Dinh and Phu Yen provinces to try their best and achieve more success in their studies in the coming time, contributing to the construction of our country.
