On the afternoon of April 13, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Phi Long had a meeting with the delegation of German Industry and Commerce Vietnam (GIC Vietnam) and PNE Group led by Mr. Marko Walde, Chief Representative of GIC Vietnam and Mr. Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE Group. Attended the meeting were representatives of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and such departments as Foreign Affairs, Investment and Planning, Industry and Trade, and Environment and Natural Resources.
At the meeting, representing PNE Group, Mr. Thorsten Fastenau, Head of Offshore Wind gave brief information on the offshore wind farms in Binh Dinh. The projects will be named “Hon Trau 1,2,3” in line with 3 phases of the project implementation.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee valued Binh Dinh’s potentials and advantages of renewable energy exploitation, so he hoped that PNE, a German wind power pioneer in the world, would succeed in its project implementation and operation in Binh Dinh.
On this occasion, Mr. Markus Lesser, CEO of PNE, extended his thanks to provincial leaders and related departments for their maximum supports in the process of preparing a dossier for investment policy approval and hoped to continue receiving the locality’s support.
Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, hoped the project would be a push to further develop the industry, one of five pillars of the provincial growth in the next time. Mr Dung also hoped that GIC Vietnam would continue to connect and invite more German investors to Binh Dinh for seeking investment opportunites.
At the end of the meeting, PNE handed over Hon Trau project dossier for investment policy approval to the Provincial People’s Committee. On this occasion, Mr. Ho Si Dung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented the Thank-you Letter to PNE for its contributions in the prevention of Covid-19 in Binh Dinh over the past time.
